Some say words without music are sad, but to me, words are like candlelight in the darkness. Words have never left me, they are a comfort, a prayer, a meditation in times of despair.

Each syllable has its music, they are poetry, each beat has its happiness, strength and resilience. Every word sings to itself, ringing out the voice of the soul. At this moment these words are everything, they are everywhere, they are stories that keep reinventing themselves as they pass through different minds.

Our lives link together many stories, from memories of our fathers, mothers and the whispering of our ancestors.

I like to think when I am dead and gone my soul will become a story that will inspire a creative to make something beautiful.

Who knows how many times these words have been uttered?

For me, these thoughts are fresh, crisp and flowing from my pen, but to others, they may seem familiar because our language, is as ancient as ourselves. They say every story has already been told, yet everyone has their own way of expressing themselves. We are imprints of our experience and are born into this world with new eyes, making our connections and discoveries for the first time.

Our words are our companions throughout life and for some lucky writers, their words live beyond themselves and are remembered after they are gone.

These are our stories, in the end, we are nothing but words.

Today is a good day to start a new tale.
